Job Description:

You will serve as a RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF. This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position.
The Upward Mobility Program is a unique job opportunity. This program is designed to provide Department of Navy employees career growth opportunities who have potential but do not presently meet the Office of Personnel Management qualification requirements for this position. The entry level for this position is GS-07 with a full performance level of GS-09. Knowledge of employees selected may vary and will require the development of an individually tailored training plan to assist them in qualifying for the full performance level of this position. Eligibility requires that the employee be performing satisfactorily, complete all training requirements, acquire the requisite qualifications and have met time-in-grade eligibility for career ladder promotions. This recruitment is open to applicants with GS-07 or WG-06 (or higher) equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to monitor departmental resources and employee training and qualifications. You will track and report qualifications for all assigned employees per the specific trade/shop.
You will assist supervisors in collecting, interpreting and analyzing training and resource data.
You will schedule and manage the training and medical qualification programs for the shop.
You will coordinate new employee hiring, including setting up interviews, initial indoctrination training and shop specific training.
