Job Description:

You will serve as a Records and Administrative Support Specialist for AC/S, G-1 Department of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing extensive knowledge and practical experience in various methods, principles and practices in program management; research and analysis methodologies. Comprehensive knowledge in records management, implementing and managing electronic records systems. Directive management, knowledge of Department of Navy and USMC policy requirements. Maintaining files and Military awards. You will serve as the MARFORPAC/FMFPAC primary source of continuity and expertise regarding all issues pertaining to awards policy, procedures and preparation as well as records, reports, forms, directives, and publication control.
You will be responsible for the preparation and administration for Marine Corps personnel and commands, throughout the Pacific Theater.
You will recommend component-wide policy in these areas.
You will conduct detailed reviews and coordination of administrative policies and procedures.
You will conduct formal and informal inspections on the Directive Control Point (DCP) and awards programs of major subordinate commands.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate assigning of Standard Subject Identification Codes and the maintenance and distribution of all MARFOPAC directives.
You will be responsible for all directives are in the correct format; the DCP, command Master Directives Files; and Official File Copies of correspondence are properly maintained.
You will independently draft and route for approval/signature MARFORPAC directives, instructions, letters and reports pertaining to the DCP.
