Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command. You will manage and support the team to achieve program technical, cost and schedule objectives.
You will develop and coordinate all required program acquisition documentation and briefings as well as ensure all program requirements and milestones are communicated and coordinated with program leadership.
You will interface with Resource Sponsors in developing and defending requirements and program budgets.
You will serve as the central point of contact within the program office for all matters concerning the program as well as establish and maintain relationships both within the organization and with relevant external groups.
You will coordinate appropriate interface segments of the program with other program managers and management officials and with higher authorities.
You will serve as liaison and representative in negotiations with other commands and offices of the Navy, DOD, other governmental agencies and private organizations on matters pertaining to the program.
You will advise higher-level officials of program status and problems that require resolution.
You will evaluate work performance of team members and provide input to Group Leaders and supervisors on performance of IPT members.
