Opportunity
Under the direction of the Lead Interior Designer, the Interior Designer will support the design of new showrooms, showroom remodels, and tile and plumbing updates. They will be a key contributor on medium and large-scale projects and will be the design lead on small projects. Responsibilities include developing plans and designs, feasibility studies, preparation of specifications, quotations, and supporting documents, construction documents, construction observation, quality control, and order tracking and support.
The Interior Designer will need to demonstrate a high level of abstract reasoning, problem solving and demonstrate strong creative design sense. They will direct and lead projects as assigned, receiving general direction from superiors and exercising discretion when making decisions. Demonstrates ability to prioritize workload and manage to deadlines with minimal supervision.
Specific Responsibilities
Construction & Design Consulting
Compile construction document sets for showroom remodels and updates for use in bidding and construction purposes.
Assist in preparing design presentations, Sketchup 3D models, and iterative designs to support projects.
Assist in developing CAD floor plans, elevations, and details for new showroom environments, showroom remodels and updates.
Data Analysis
Conduct sales analysis by category, location and region; develop guidance and merchandising approaches to maximize sales based on product and geographic trends.
Conduct competitive analysis to understand market share and competitive landscape relevant to showroom location/buildout.
Design & Project Coordination
Conceptualize and develop design solutions for showroom spaces, suites, and vignettes that align with project objectives and brand vision.
Coordinate orders, purchases and deliveries of all showroom display materials in an accurate and timely manner.
Identify potential issues that may delay shipping such as delays in manufacturing, out of stock status, and make adjustments to purchase order or product plan as required.
Maintain comprehensive files and records of all design project correspondence, presentations, contracts and invoices.
Prepare drawings for product suites, vignettes and other displays using the latest release of AutoCAD.
Maintain current base drawings of each location in AutoCAD.
Field verify existing conditions and accurately create as-built drawings for historical records using CAD standards.
Execute projects as needed by managers within the merchandising team.
Other duties as required by supervisor.
