You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Technical Division of the Lifting and Handling Department, Code 710 of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering concepts and practices to identify issues and recommend solutions for the design, configuration, operational details or work processes related to Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) of an industrial naval facility. You will review the design/operational details related to safe, effective, and efficient vertical movement of loads
You will perform in-process, and operational quality reviews
You will investigate and make recommendations for needed material/equipment substitutions, configuration changes, or process improvements.
You will assess capacity, reach, lift, stability, available space, wheel or outrigger support requirements, and overall feasibility of using particular equipment.
