THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN 122nd Fighter Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D0021000. If you would like the complete list of duties, please contact the POC of this announcement.
MILITARY GRADES: E-3 through E-6 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 2A673 The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. If applicant is willing to join the Indiana Air National Guard and meet the AFSC compatibility requirements, please upload your Report Individual of Personnel (RIP) to your documents on this application to determine ASVAB qualification. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicant's ability to repair malfunctions of ordnance equipment and components. Ability to use sketches, electrical diagrams, technical specifications and engineering drawings. Experience which demonstrates skill in the use of test equipment to make electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic checks. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications. **FWS POSITIONS ONLY**: Specialized Experience Requirements for NGB Federal Wage System Positions for claiming civilian job experience: Creditable experience must have been performed at least 30 consecutive days and be properly documented. Positions, repairs, and adjusts required aerospace ground equipment
Performs installation, modification, and repair of aircraft egress systems.
Solves unusual installation and maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, schematic and wiring diagrams, applicable technical publications, and analyzing construction and operating characteristics of egress systems.
Stores egress explosives in accordance with AFOSH standards.
Schedules periodic maintenance of aircraft egress systems.
Loads cartridges, flares, etc., into aircraft systems and removes if not used in flight, following applicable handling, loading, and checkout procedures.
Enforces safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulations.
Reviews bench stock to determine adequacy and to determine required renewals/deletions to accomplish programs.
Performs Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO’S) related to egress systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
