Job Description:
You will serve as an OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the NAVAL UNDERSEA WARFARE CENTER DIVISION of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Research Analyst influencing the design, operation, and efficiency of undersea weapons systems for fleet readiness.. You will apply expertise in data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
You will analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop recommendation to improve processes, equipment, and methodologies.
You will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to conduct investigations, assess feasibility of new technologies, and resolve technical challenges.
You will apply engineering and scientific principles to solve complex problems, impacting the design and operation of undersea weapons systems.
You will influence the safety, efficiency, and performance of undersea weapons systems.
You will apply data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and ingestion best practice for machine learning and artificial intelligence data conduits.
You will analyze data sources to provide actionable recommendations from large data sets.
You will manipulate and clean large, disparate datasets for bulk analysis to identify connections.
