Job Description:

You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department or the Rapid Mission Integration & Interoperability Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating quality management systems, plans, or instructions to identify and implement corrective or preventative measures for improved internal audit or evaluation policies and processes. You will serve as a Quality System Manager (QSM) for the Special Warfare and Expeditionary Systems Department or Rapid Mission Integration and Interoperability Department.
You will work with the Management Team coordinating the development and maintenance of Department level Quality Management System, Quality Plan, and applicable Instructions.
You will work with the Quality Management Office (QMO) coordinating internal audits and evaluations by QMO and external evaluations.
You will respond to issues requiring corrective/preventative action and verify implementation of that action.
You will serve as the Department’s representative on the NSWC Corporate Quality Team and be responsible for assisting managers in the implementation of Quality Management System elements policy and objectives.
