Job Description:
You will serve as a Supervisory Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Weapons System Division or the Maneuver Surveillance & Engagement Systems Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading the development, planning, or execution of Expeditionary Warfare projects, programs, or initiatives to foster continuous quality improvement. You will serve as the Deputy Division Manager for the Weapons Systems Division or the Maneuver, Surveillance and Engagement Division.
You will ensure close communication and collaboration with the Division Manager and Branch Managers within the division.
You will oversee execution of projects and initiatives, providing leadership on the development, implementation, and sustainment of projects and strategies.
You will provide oversight and guidance on the approach for reviewing the division’s key projects via execution reviews and metrics for cost, quality, risk management, and schedule monitoring.
You will coordinate technical cross-organizational efforts, to include internal divisions, departments and external program offices and/or supported agencies.
You will serve as administrative backup to the Division Manager, and in their absence make programmatic, strategic, and technical decisions.
