About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, OK. This position serves as a Tool Room Attendant for the Ammunition Operations Production and Maintenance Division will receive, store, identify, issue, and deliver items used by production personnel. Who May Apply: US Citizens Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Tools and Parts Attendant ~ without more than normal supervision. Must possess the ability to perform common warehousing techniques such as receiving, storing, issuing, and re-warehousing materials, interpreting and applying warehouse plans and checking numbers and names of items on container labels to receiving documents. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort: Work requires standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries items that weigh up to 10 pounds, and occasionally handles items weighing up to 40 pounds. Working Conditions: Work is done in a storage area that is well lighted and heated, but occasionally drafty and noisy. Is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, and bruises.
Receive, store, identify and issue items, finished stock, raw stock and replacement parts for shop personnel.
Ensure tools and equipment function properly.
Calibrate torque wrenches that are used in production operations.
Conduct inventory by counting items on hand, searching for missing items and taking recounts in established locations and setting up locations for new items.
Issue and process returned items.
