Job Description:
You will serve as a MECHANICAL ENGINEER in the ALRE Software/ Systems Test Engineering Branch within the SE & ALRE Test Division of the Prototype Manufacturing and Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE (BL42300 Test Engineer).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Serving as a technical expert on ALRE Software/Systems Test Engineering performance criteria and test compliance to prepare comprehensive Test Directives which are distributed to all personnel involved in the project. 2) Facilitating initial development and evaluation phase of a given program, coordinating with various divisions, agencies, and groups involved in the execution of a project. 3) Establishing and scheduling start and completion dates for all phases of installation of AAG or EMALS equipment and upgrades. 4) Arranging for effective utilization of deadloads or available aircraft, ensuring that all supportive services are aware of scheduled events. 5) Providing instrumentation support as to whether data should be removed and processed after each test or whether more than one test may be run before the raw data and film coverage should be analyzed. You will evaluate mechanical engineering work performed by others to ensure compliance with engineering practices and specifications.
You will plan and oversee the testing of mechanical systems to solve design and operational problems.
You will create schedules and project milestones to facilitate timely project completion, including the direction of installation of equipment and performance of upgrades.
You will exercise general systems engineering oversight including review of systems engineering processes.
You will direct shipboard certification test efforts for ALRE systems.
