Job Description:

You will serve as the Lead EMALS Systems Engineer or the Lead AAG Systems Engineer in the Ford Class Launch & Recovery Division, ALRE Department of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 (equivalent to the GS-12/GS-13 level) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining leadership of a team of 6-8 systems engineers, formulating solutions stressing reliability, maintainability, safety, quality, operational readiness and performance. 2) Providing specialized technical expertise and lead efforts to implement changes necessary to the system as it matures, discoveries arise, and parts become obsolete. 3) Incorporating extensive background and knowledge of ALRE development, naval aviation and systems engineering principles and applying them directly to problem solving. 4) Resolving equipment and operational problems throughout the entire program process while ensuring direct communication with the Chief Engineers and program leadership. 5) Utilizing strong mentoring skills and experience in developing personnel. You will collaborate with engineers or experts in different fields to resolve engineering issues.
You will explain project progression to management to ensure all contributing personnel are informed.
You will advise employees on technical and administrative matters to achieve organizational operational objectives.
You will convene engineering project reviews ensuring approved project charters or plans and engineering project processes are followed.
You will develop technical engineering solutions to mitigate or eliminate obstructions to engineering project completion.
You will create technical reports to correct engineering design flaws in a wide variety of Systems Engineering.
