Job Description:

You will serve as a PERSONNEL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Office of the Director, Secretary of the Navy Council of Review Boards (SECNAVCORB).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing relevant laws, Executive Orders, policies, procedures and other DOD/DON regulations governing the Personnel Security Appeals Board (PSAB) in order to handle cases from start to finish, including review and adjudication. Experience in and demonstrated knowledge/skill to review case information to discern when information is missing or needs to be reviewed further. Experience in and demonstrated analytical skills, sound judgment and decision-making, and ability to produce a quality written product in accordance with established Naval Correspondence regulations. You will serve as the Presiding Officer for all Personnel and Security Appeals Board (PSAB) adjudications and chair the appeals/ hearing proceedings at all times.
You will plan out the weekly case load for case preparations, ensuring both contractors and the adjudication panel are aware of upcoming cases to be reviewed.
You will serve as part of the adjudication panel for appeals concerning DON security clearance revocations.
You will ensure the PSAB workforce receives appropriate direction, resources, support, and training.
You will establish standard operating procedures for all contractors providing support to the PSAB and hold all contracted personnel accountable for the performance of their duties.
You will provide expert advice to senior leadership regarding departmental level policies, Executive Orders, Federal Regulations, DoD instructions, manuals and other applicable directives.
You will manage the operations of the PSAB and will be the direct supervisor for the civilian and military members assigned to the PSAB.
