Job Description:

You will serve as a Correctional Program Specialist in the Corrections and Program Office of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Tracking operational readiness inspection audits and implementation status reports for monitoring and closure actions; 2) Performing administrative work to demonstrate Correction agency-level compliance with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards established by the Department of Justice (DOJ); 3) Supporting inspections of shore military correctional facilities and afloat brigs to ensure facility operations meet compliance with applicable laws; 4) Procuring consumable and non-consumable office supplies, furniture and services; 5) Administering office line of accounting and reviewing vouchers for travel. You will organize American Correctional Association (ACA) standards folders and projects in support of standards compliance.
You will perform administrative work to demonstrate Navy Corrections agency-level compliance with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards established by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
You will guide military enlisted staff in the application, administration, and delivery of Basic, Advanced, and Armed Prisoner Escort training requirements.
You will support inspections at military correctional facilities and afloat brigs to ensure facility operations and programs meet compliance with applicable laws, agency policy, and national accreditation standards.
You will oversee tracking of all operational readiness inspection audits and implementation status reports for monitoring and closure actions.
You will administer DTS travel for office line of accounting with review of each authorization and voucher.
