To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include the following: Developing, reviewing, analyzing, standardizing, and evaluating managerial policies and procedures related to programs and/or systems. Developing practical, reliable, time sensitive and cost-effective recommendations for accomplishing team and individual projects and special tasks. Exercising programmatic oversight over assigned key technologies. NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. You will serve as a Management & Program Analyst and be responsible for new and established projects, programs and systems. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assessing, developing, and evaluating program processes and products managed within the organization. Providing extensive knowledge and expertise to direct, administer, implement, manage, analyze, and execute the assessment activity. Evaluating effectiveness of policies and guidance and assessing program direction. Preparing charts, summaries and narratives which provide the basis for performance evaluation.
