This vacancy is for a WG-6907-10, Warehouse Materials Inspector located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, SFLC INVENTORY CTL POINT OPS SEC -SFLC-ALD-SUPPLY-ICP OPS. THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION: 1430-2300.

You will serve as a Warehouse Materials Inspector in the SFLC warehouse and be responsible for ensuring the quantity and condition of material matches inventory records and/or due-in requirements. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Performing a structured receiving inspection on all commercially procured items which are not subject to Government Point of Origin inspection;. Performing a structured inspection on materials in the warehouse to assure their continued quality;. Using precision measuring instruments, micrometers, vernier calipers, various gauges and a variety of other precision measuring instruments to assure product quality, and. Preparing inspection documents associated with the quality control inspection function.
