Job Description:
You will serve as a Supervisory Loan Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Capital Access (OCA), Processing and Disbursement Center - PDC in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is responsible for supervising subordinate Loan Specialists and support staff performing disaster related loan processing for businesses and individuals.

This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following: Making decisions to approve or decline residential and business loans; Evaluating credit reports to determine credit worthiness of individuals and business loan applicants; Analyzing financial statements and federal income tax returns of individuals and businesses, to determine overall financial condition and ability to repay a loan; AND Leading or supervising projects, or a team of employees. As a/an Supervisory Loan Specialist at the GS-1165-13, some of your typical work assignments may include: Exercise delegated authority to approve loan applications up to the statutory limit and/or to decline or withdraw loan applications. Monitor production, progress and timeliness of all loan processing activities in the unit; take actions necessary to resolve problems and alleviate delays. Monitor quality of all loan processing work within the unit for adherence to laws, regulations, and established procedures and standards to ensure production and timeliness. Develop, implement, and maintain policy and procedural training materials associated with all aspects of disaster loan processing within the Department. Advise, counsel, and instruct employees on technical, personnel, and administrative matters of all subordinate employees. Supervise Loan Specialists and support staff performing loan processing work; advise, counsel, and instruct subordinate employees on technical, personnel, and administrative matters. Coordinate unit's activities with all other unites and components of the Processing and Disbursement Center to assure smooth and timely file flow throughout the organization.
