Job Description:

You will serve as a BL42300 BRANCH HEAD in the SOFTWARE/SYSTEMS TEST ENGINEERING BRANCH, SYSTEMS EQUIPMENT & AIRCRAFT LAUNCH AND RECOVERY EQUIPMENT TEST DIVISION IN THE PROTOTYPE, MANUFACTURING AND TEST DEPARTMENT, SE ALRE GROUP of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03/GS-9-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Planning, coordinating, managing and directing the development and implementation of test engineering process, software engineering policies, guidance and metrics for the Software/Systems Test Engineering Branch; Develops and updates NAWCAD policy, procedures and programs to satisfy DoD and Navy Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment program requirements for system/software engineering and maintains currency of test engineering processes by soliciting process user and customer feedback for continuous process improvement; Coordinating test engineering support to program managers for ALRE/SE programs and technical matters, and ensuring DoD, Navy and NAWCAD policy is appropriately tailored and included in program and contractual documents; Identifying, preparing, submitting and defending justifications for expenditures for equipment, facilities and manpower; and Developing the necessary budget documentation to support Branch initiatives and assist in the strategic planning effort for the Division. You will plan, coordinate, manage and direct the development and implementation of test engineering process, software engineering policies, guidance and metrics for the Software / Systems Test Engineering Branch.
You will lead test and evaluation projects to validate adherence to technical specifications.
You will develop and update NAWCAD policy, procedures, and programs to satisfy DoD and Navy Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment program requirements for system/software engineering.
You will develop engineering project management policies and processes to support programmatic operations.
You will manage individual development and certification/qualification of others to standard job qualifications and direct others in the performance of tests and projects for program requirements.
You will develop metrics and track progress to ensure successful execution of test programs and create reports to recommend changes in the design of systems, equipment or components.
You will compile technical engineering data to provide guidance and recommendations to all echelons of management regarding strategic goals, objectives and responsibilities of the organization.
