Job Description:

This FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST position, is located in an Army Support Facility (AASF) or Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA) and is part of the CA AASF Sacramento.
General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying basic rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of a transportation program; Experience using computer and automation systems. FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-2102-8: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, in: arranging and interpreting directives and regulations governing transportation of personnel, cargo, or freight; experience applying directives and regulations governing transportation of personnel, cargo, or freight; experience verifying legal entitlements or official authorizations for travel, securing from carriers guides and timetables, information regarding schedules, fares, and availability of space accommodations; experience planning and organizing the work of others. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Attention to Detail Communications Decision Making Training and Employee Development
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION. Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the FLIGHT OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GS-2102-8, is to conduct preflight briefings for pilots and provide in-flight advisory services. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
