Job Description:

This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel. The supervisor is David Taggart. This position is subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This position is subject to the security ownership restriction reporting requirements.
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Applicants must live within 50 miles of Headquarters location.
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a Project Manager to support the Chief Counsel and Chief of Staff in consolidating and managing cross-functional schedules into a comprehensive critical path. The role involves daily coordination with stakeholders, progress tracking, and providing strategic updates to senior leadership. As a senior staff with considerable programmatic, corporate and mission support responsibilities, serves as a liaison and provides direct assistance and advisory services to the Chief Counsel in the execution and management of programs including policies and administrative matters. This may include but is not limited to the management of special projects, oversight of self-assessments, lessons-learned reviews, program analyses, program oversight and support activities and representing OGC on interoffice or interagency groups regarding agency policies and practices. Reviews, analyzes, develops, and/or updates internal controls and agency or regional directives for the office. Responsible for independently carrying out a broad variety of complex assignments. Ensures programmatic assessments are accomplished, assist in accomplishing office activities and special projects including challenging management, programmatic and advisory services to support activities and programs. Performs special projects, studies, and analyses to identify, evaluate and recommend improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of overall resource utilization as directed or independently, and to streamline and enhance operations. Conducts reviews of critical activities as directed to validate that they are performing as prescribed. Maintains necessary follow-up actions with internal and external stakeholder, managers and staff to ensure effective completion of assignments and ensure timely submissions of assigned projects and reports. Provides oversight of the office ticket tracking system. Provides advisory services and coordination, guides OGC management on program policies areas such as: performance management reporting; incentive awards/recognition programs, recruitment and staffing; staffing plan; FTE utilization; Strategic Workforce Planning; and leadership and all staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.
