Job Description:
The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated DoD facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities") within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-11 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-09 or higher grade in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience: For the GS-11, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-11 if outside the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as... Experience in identifying elements of proof, developing investigative plans and strategies. Experience in identifying and collecting evidence and preparing for and conducting witness and subject interviews. Experience in preparing applicable reports detailing forensic and analytical findings. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position. Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as an integral member of the Protective Services Division providing support and assisting with all protection, special events and administration programs. Assist, plan and will coordinate support and administrative functions associated with protective service programs within the Continental United States or Outside of the Continental United States in accordance with the Special Agent in Charge and the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Support various programs within the division, includes, but not limited to the Agency Passport and Visa Program, country clearance portals, and the Defense Travel System. Support and manage Division support programs such as fleet, office administration, such as staffing work schedules, managing case files and record management, equipment and weapon inventories, office security manager duties as it relates to the Protective Service Operations Office. Serve as a member of investigative team providing support during the conduct of criminal investigations and crime prevention matters involving the full range of criminal allegations
