Job Description:

You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) in the Manpower Management Division of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Receiving documents such as military records by mail or in person and turning them into electronic documents that are tagged with appropriate document type and effective date. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will ensure quality and legibility of documents approved for continued processing into the records management application.
You will prioritize requests for personnel records and identify the appropriate method for acquiring archival records.
You will appropriately advise service members requesting inclusion, modification or removal of documents to the appropriate office, section, branch, or government.
You will respond to written requests and walk-in customers regarding modification within a member's record or to identify active, former, and reserve status Marines
You will identify errors within the applications and implement workarounds for when they are unavailable.
