Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes assisting in the development, review, and evaluation of all hazard incidents and/or emergency medical response plans for disasters and/or emergencies within a medical treatment facility (MTF); coordinating implementation of emergency management planning in accordance with policies/procedures and local/governing emergency agencies; providing guidance on facility's preparedness and response to natural and/or man-made disasters; and coordinating emergency response and preparedness training as needed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance Inspection and Program Management Emergency and Disaster Management Problem Solving Safety and Health Training and Education Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Responsible for the development implementation, coordination, management and maintenance of a sound Force Protection (FP) and Emergency Management Plan (EMP).
Incumbent must be familiar with The Joint Commission standards for Inpatient facilities, outpatient, facilities, and ambulatory care centers, to ensure optimal planning of facilities.
Responsible for mass casualty plans as required, specifically designed to test and evaluate the level of preparedness in responding to a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN), or all-hazards incident.
Serves as a technical advisor for all Emergency Management issues.
