Job Description:
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the NAVY RECRUITING COMMAND of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT COLUMBUS. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Interpreting military regulations regarding military processing and enlisted recruiting; 2) Preparing reports or briefs to submit to management on enlisted recruiting programs; 3) Providing guidance to personnel regarding enlisted recruiting programs. You will Identify gaps or inconsistencies in human resources records.
You will update personnel records to document changes (e.g., name change, prior service).
You will review data in a human resources information system for completeness.
You will respond to customer inquiries by researching human resources rules or regulations.
