Job Description:

You will serve as a Security Specialist for theNAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND, CONUS WEST DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, implementing, and tracking Information, Industrial, and Personnel Security procedures to ensure successful partnership with commands and other departments or agencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will verify security clearances for Incoming and outgoing visit requests.
You will collaborate with the executive officer, unit commanding officers, detachment OICs and deputy OICs, security assistants, and supervisors to inform and resolve security related issues that affect NMCPAC CWD HQ and units and detachments.
You will direct, guide, and train the Assistant Activity Security Manager.
You will develop and update written command personnel security procedures, and directives, which include the: Emergency Action Plan; Information and Personnel Security Program instruction, and incident investigation procedures.
You will conduct security audits, training and briefings to ensure that NMCPAC CWD subordinate activities are knowledgeable and adhere to established procedures and guidelines.
You will be a technical authority on the development and interpretation of security guidelines, policies, legislation, and regulations covering the security operations of one or more substantive national security programs.
You will evaluate sensitivity determination for each position within the command, initiation and processing of background investigation requests for NMCPAC CWD military and Civilians.
You will ensure security controls are in place to control access to restricted areas and classified information.
