About the Position: Serves as a Park Manager over one or more reservoirs or lakes multipurpose projects, which may be complicated by being separated by stance or having diversified facilities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Overseeing implementation of recreation and/or Natural Resource programs and policies; 2) Coordinating with stakeholders such as state, federal, or local agencies in the development of cooperative plans for rescue, emergency, and/or law enforcement services; and 3) Determining work priorities related to a Natural Resource program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Natural Resource Management Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Manages the natural resource management program that includes environmental stewardship, recreation and cultural resource protection oversight.
Plans and directs the activities of subordinates which includes four to eight rangers and in some cases, guides as well as skilled trades and crafts workers and unskilled laborers.
Responsible for the interpretive programs embracing the historical, scientific and archeological features of the project for presentation to the public.
Monitors construction and modification of operational, recreation and public use facilities and improvements.
Reviews plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction, operation, and/or maintenance work to be performed by contract.
