This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Manages the natural resource management program that includes environmental stewardship, recreation and cultural resource protection oversight.
Plans and directs the activities of subordinates which includes four to eight rangers and in some cases, guides as well as skilled trades and crafts workers and unskilled laborers.
Responsible for the interpretive programs embracing the historical, scientific and archeological features of the project for presentation to the public.
Monitors construction and modification of operational, recreation and public use facilities and improvements.
Reviews plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction, operation, and/or maintenance work to be performed by contract.
