Job Description:

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Comptroller Group, Budget Formulation, Justification and Execution Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Financial Management Analyst experience equivalent to the GS-11 Grade Level or equivalent Pay Band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: (1) Utilizing working knowledge of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Tool (N-ERP) or similar ERP program tool to input and extract financial data for budget planning, formulation, and execution; (2) Developing spend plans and budgetary requirements; (3) Executing funds following all fiscal laws and regulations; (4) Applying financial laws and regulations to provide advice on sources and uses of funds; (5) Analyzing and interpreting financial data or related information to develop recommendations to correct gaps and conflicts in the data; (6) Preparing reports to ensure projects are expending funding properly; (7) Reviewing reports, documentation, records, data, and other materials to monitor obligations and expenditures; (8) Ensuring funds are being executed properly through all stages of encumbrance; (9) Evaluating changes in plans and proposing new course of action to mitigate deviation from plan; and (10) Communicating, orally and in writing, to assist in resolving team conflict in a positive manner, while maintaining or increasing team morale. You will provide resources support with primary emphasis on financial management and planning for assigned financial management program.
You will perform work related activities in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will interface with department heads and their staff members to provide guidance regarding financial management and policy as well as the legalities of the financial system.
You will analyze and recommend the costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations programs and administrative operations.
You will use a financial management system (e.g., Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) business and financial system, Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) system, or similar system) to accomplish assigned program goals and objectives.
You will communicate with internal and external contacts to present, justify, defend, negotiate or settle matters involving significant or controversial issues.
You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
