This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at the Desmond Doss Health Clinic (DDHC), Family Advocacy Program, in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing common word processing software to create correspondence and forms; maintaining records and data entry using automated management systems; and resolving minor or routine inquiries from customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Healthcare Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Serve as Medical Support Assistant (MSA) for the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Work front desk reception are for FAP to include: answering phones, scheduling patients, provide customer service, providing assistance, checking in patients, and open/close clinic.
Provide statistical data for reports as needed.
Perform administrative, medical support, and clerical tasks.
Assist with processing referrals for child abuse and domestic violence.
