Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Code 270.1 Power Generation and Distribution Branch of the Code 270 Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical expertise and oversight for the maintenance, repair, modification, overhaul, troubleshooting and testing of systems and components for electrical or electronic systems aboard naval vessels. You will review and assume responsibility for the final technical adequacy and timely completion of work performed in area of responsibility.
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities and considering the experience required and the capabilities of the assigned employees.
You will identify manning, types and levels of skill and training, and overtime required to support projected workload.
You will resolve and makes decisions on work problems and recommended actions presented by branch employees.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and give advice or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
You will assign training and development performance plans to branch employees.
You will evaluate subordinate employees' performance and provides ratings per the rating.
You will serve as a consultant and principal advisor to the Division Manager for workforce development matters.
