About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency Psychological Health Center of Excellence located in Silver Spring, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Basic Requirements for Clinical Psychologist GS-0180-15: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. License: A current, active, and unrestricted license as a Psychologist in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States. (NOTE: You must submit a copy of your license with your application package). In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with reviewing clinical practices, developing evidence-based treatments and clinical support tools to improve psychological health, reviewing and interpreting regulations, and overseeing or mentoring employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Apply innovative techniques to resolve problems, determine approaches, and make recommendations for the implementation and attainment of agency-wide psychological health (PH) goals and objectives
Psychological health technical advisor for planning, directing, and coordinating all assigned psychological health missions and functions associated with developing, managing, integrating, synchronizing, and resourcing program activity.
Manage senior clinical scientists to prioritize and conduct evidence review and gap analysis of current treatment and training practices.
Report research findings, results, and recommendations in briefings, professional papers, technical reports, book chapters, and/or other formats which offer maximum possibility for use and implementation of results.
Provide knowledgeable insights and shapes evidenced-based intervention regarding routine and complex psychological health issues, and promotes force-wide psychological health and human performance.
Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to an interdisciplinary staff of professionals to meet the psychological health mission.
Develop ideas and recommendations around specific topics/emerging practice areas.
