Job Description:
The position is in the Department of Technology Services, Systems Development and Support Office (SDSO),Training Division. SDSO provides national information technology business services; cloud-based communication, productivity, and collaboration services; independent validation and verification systems testing; and IT training.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Required Competencies (knowledge, skills, and abilities): Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Ability to work and interact with others in a structured/team environment An understanding of adult learning principals Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Systems Development and Support Office (SDSO) is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (eLearning Developer) to join its team. The IT Specialist (eLearning Developer) is responsible for developing clear, concise, and comprehensive e-learning and training materials. The eLearning Developer creates, edits, updates, and maintains instructional material, including e-learning modules, webinar recordings, videos, manuals, job aids, and guides. The development work requires a thorough knowledge of current distant learning best practices, including relevant training activities, exercises, interactions, and environments. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Creating, editing, and posting e-learning modules using various multimedia tools, including, Techsmith Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. Record and edit audio narration for use in e-learning modules. Developing graphics that are complimentary to and enhance final work products. Recording and editing video content resulting in a seamless final product. Performing quality assurance reviews to ensure development quality meets established standards. Developing, posting, and updating SharePoint web content. Developing training appropriate to the topic and audience in collaboration with Training Division staff at all levels. Maintaining and expanding content knowledge by collaborating with other team members. Managing development workload, communicating project statuses, and reporting problems to management.
