1. Completion of the requirements for a bachelor's degree in one of the program areas to be managed OR 2. Experience that provided a knowledge of the goals, principles, methods and techniques of recreation and an understanding of the interests of individuals or groups. Plus Work experience supervising support staff in recreation programs. Highly Preferred 1. Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising a team of 3 or more personnel 2. Proven work experience with a multi-facet program 3. Experience with inventory, budgets, labor, and cost controls Applicants that meet the Best Qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. Responsible for the oversight of Outdoor Recreation, Community Center operations, RV Park, Rod and Gun, Leisure Travel Services, the Resale Lot, and WSMR MVD operations.
Plans and prepares annual operating budget, recreational programs, marketing requests, and staff schedules. Works independently and provides overall supervisory/managerial oversight of all cash handling/internal control functions and inventory.
Provides appropriate training on products, equipment and proper fitting of products.
Responsible for all equipment/vehicles/rentals under program. Responsible for oversight of maintenance and repairs as needed for all equipment within this program.
Perform additional duties as required.
