You will serve as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. You will install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and related devices and components.
You will study blueprints, design specifications, and/or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components.
You will install and connect auxiliary and control devices or assemblies such as flashing, pipes, tubes, heating and air conditioning ducts and emissions monitoring equipment in supportive frameworks.
You will fasten seams or joints together with weld, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, duct tape, or bonds to assemble components into products, or to repair sheet metal items.
You will install, repair and maintain electrical equipment, devices and wiring related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
You will verify that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are designed, installed, and calibrated in accordance with various blueprints, design specifications, engineering direction, and/or regulatory requirements.
