Job Description:
You will serve as an ENGINEER in the Spectrum Warfare Department (WX), Platform Protection & CM Technologies Division (WXR), Emerging Technologies Branch (WXRX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to next lower band, ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, providing leadership and guidance for research, development, or testing of Infrared, Radio Frequency (RF), or Countermeasure system technologies in support of electronic warfare system technological advancement and sustainment of the fleet. You will serve as a Radio Frequency (RF) expert able to work across multiple branches and projects to advise on Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation efforts for countermeasures technologies for both maritime and airborne applications.
You will be responsible for airborne expendables, larger airborne countermeasure technologies, maritime legacy countermeasures as well as emerging maritime Program of Record RF countermeasures (Long Endurance Electronic Decoy - LEED).
You will work across modeling and simulation, design, development, production, test and evaluation of RF systems, threats and countermeasures.
