Job Description:

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Global Deterrence & Defense Department (GX), Fleet Sustainment and Advanced Manufacturing Division (GXN) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing scientific or engineering program operations (e.g. short and long-term planning, setting priorities, estimating resources) to improve effectiveness and efficiency of projects, programs and initiatives of an organization. You will develop strategies and vision for the Division to support programs/policies.
You will promote and communicate NAVSEA Warfare Center Transformation Initiatives.
You will oversee systems engineering, design, development, acquisition, modeling/simulation, test, evaluation and qualification, logistics, repair, maintenance, fabrication, integration, cybersecurity used in Surface and Subsurface Combat Systems.
You will be responsible for rules and regulations of the Government Purchase Card program, for ensuring proper purchase card use, and for taking prompt and effective administrative and disciplinary corrective actions when warranted.
You will collaborate with customers, to include, but are not limited to, Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP), Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, US Air Force.
