Job Description:
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the General Equipment Branch of the Property Management Division within the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating or interpreting Navy policies and procedures to identify cost-effective strategies for improved planning and execution of property or financial management program initiatives. You will be responsible for the development of the workforce, effective execution of workload consistent with organizational initiatives and objectives, and for providing outstanding support and service to assigned customers.
You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitors work assignments of subordinates.
You will evaluate work performance and provides feedback on their performance; ensures that employees are appropriately selected, utilized, and developed, and that they are treated in a fair and equitable manner.
You will approve leave; recommends discipline, awards, promotions and other personnel actions; resolves employee complaints; investigates conduct and or performance problems including those where disciplinary action may be proposed.
You will further the organizational and agency programs and initiatives by coordinating and integrating work that involves distinct areas of responsibility and that requires varying skills, knowledge, and abilities to execute the mission.
You will encourage and enable subordinate employees to develop leadership and management skills and experience by seeking their input before making key decisions.
You will identify solutions and provide guidance and advice to subordinates and to other supervisors and managers.
You will develop and implement long and short-term planning for required funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
You will develop and implement the organization's project and programmatic policies and procedures and determines criteria for assessing effectiveness.
