About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Bowling Center. This position includes the opportunity to enroll in Health and Life Insurance, 401K and Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave. This position requires shift work to provide coverage on days, evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Scheduled hours will be 35-40 per week. .

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience that shows progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical, or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices, or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions managed by a bowling center manager. Specialized Experience: In addition to the general experience, applicant must have specialized experience gained in the operation or management of a civilian or military bowling center operation within the past 5 years. The experience must include responsibility or supervision over the various phases of a bowling center operation and must be at a level that shows the applicant can perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Substituted for general and specialized experience. A professional Bowling degree in an accredited College or University may be substituted for general and specialized experience. Must be able to maintain Serve Safe Certification. Must be able to complete & maintain a satisfactory T1 background (NACI). This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Applicants will be reviewed and referred on the following dates: September 8, 2025, September 18, 2025, and closing on September 29, 2025. Announcement will close once position is filled. Under the supervision of the Community Services Flight Chief or Community Services Operations Manager, responsible for the economic and efficient operation of bowling center facilities and activities. Implements higher-level directives, formulates procedures and programs to ensure high standards of food and beverage, recreational and promotional programs. Establishes, reviews & evaluates purchases of supplies, equipment & resale merchandise. Establishes financial goals commensurate with market analysis of area or region. Develops business proposals increase top-line revenue and presents those for Flight Chief and Squadron leadership approval. Prepares budget, analyzes financial results & maintains financial condition of the center. Responsible for workforce management to include recruitment. staff training, scheduling, payroll, evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Manages real property resources and provides expert advice on renovations, improvements, ·minor and major construction. Promotes, organizes, and schedules open and league bowling and special events. Conducts or ensures conduct of bowling classes. Ensures that maintenance and preventive maintenance arc performed on all bowling-related facilities and equipment. Ensures appropriate bowling equipment and supplies are on hand. Oversees the operation of Bistro and lounge operations and provides oversight of the Food Transformation Initiative contractor. Conducts programs, activities and special events designed to facilitate morale, family bonding and social networking in a multifunctional gaming center. Conducts joint programs, activities, and special events with other FSS organizations to facilitate mission goals & participation. Must keep up with technology & trends within the gaming industry & recommend new equipment, games, virtual platforms for existing & new equipment. Will coordinate w/AF Gaming to host AF Gaming tournaments & hosts local tournaments. Promotes, facilitates & executes OAF & AFSVC program, entertainment & resiliency initiatives to include, but not limited to R4R, Unite, & AFE. May serve as the alternate coordinator for Unite & R4R activities during the absence of the incumbent C3 & ODR Recreation Specialist. Mav be required to drive a government vehicle.
