The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. You will serve as a MANAGER in the MODERNIZATION & INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer planning and managing systems engineering projects to optimize strategic goal attainment in support of shipboard weapon/combat/missile systems. You will serve as the first level supervisor for branch personnel that will be providing management, planning, coordination, technical direction, financial, and personnel management of installations/modernization/embarkation of complex projects.
You will understand and formulate duties associated as the first level supervisor.
You will use Engineering principles and concepts to manage a Weapon/Combat/Missile/Mission-Module/Unmanned system within a multi-task organization.
You will manage systems that provides test and evaluation, in-service engineering, and management for various Navy ship classes/platforms/facilities.
You will use continuous formal and informal communication to mid and senior-level leaders for technical, programmatic, financial, and administrative efforts required to support products and services provided to the Fleet and program office customers
You will provide oversight and mentorship of all employees in the branch to ensure technical and career development of branch employees.
