Job Description:
You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Naval Air Systems Command of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. 2.) Implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. 3.) Providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisitions and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. 4.) Formulating budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities, and reviewing and evaluating budget requests. 5.) Developing and interpreting budgetary policies and practices. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
