You will serve as a Trades and Laborer Helper MEO and be responsible for the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Facilities Engineering Division, Public Works Branch, Cape May, NJ. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assisting with the construction, repair, maintenance, of the structures and mechanical systems and grounds maintenance to include grass cutting and snow removal. Using a working knowledge of the basic practice, procedures, tools, materials, and terminology of any particular trade. Using trade hand tools of any particular trade and in the use of portable power tools. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
