Job Description:
You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (GENERAL ENGINEER/ COMPUTER ENGINEER/ ELECTRONICS ENGINEER/ AEROSPACE ENGINEER) in the Core Avionics Engineering Division; Position, Navigation, Timing Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or (DP-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Knowledge in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation and logistics functions. 2.) Ability to identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables and constraints. 3.) Ability to deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints. 4.) Ability to function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services. You will serve as a PNT Engineer for the Position, Navigation, Timing Branch in support of the Core Avionics Division.
You will function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
You will perform work related to the research, development, integration, test, acquisition, and life-cycle support of electronic systems for safety-of-flight and interfacing with other aircraft, land-based systems, and shipboard systems.
You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints.
You will perform work in communication systems, navigation systems, cooperative surveillance or identification systems, cockpit flight instruments and displays, flight safety systems, and airborne information management and processing systems.
You will work on varied equipment systems and subsystems associated with research, innovation, or reengineering assignments and demonstrate competence and creativity in developing new concepts and new uses of material/hardware/software/tactics.
