You are
A senior engineer, experienced in modern technology, ready to apply your cloud native mastery and coding chops to help make the cloud work better for our clients. You’re equal parts big-picture strategic thinker and software craftsman, which makes you a major asset when it comes to finding solutions to tough client problems. The work
The work in our Cloud Innovation Center is highly dynamic. You will be working in a team to deliver value to our clients. As a consultant, you will have the opportunity to work for many different clients, learning a wide variety of technology skills and business contexts.Our engineers may need to work in a 1:1 pair programming model to be both a mentor and student of their software craft. You may also work in a non-pairing mode in an agile team for client deliverables.
Collaborate with cross functional teams (e.g. UX/ UI designers, testers, DevOps), estimate and plan work keeping progress updated in tools like Jira
Use Git to manage code, work with branches, and review changes with the team
Build and maintain Java backend services and APIs, connecting to databases and handling business logic
Communicate development progress and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Document architecture, specifications and completed work for knowledge sharing and future reference
Continuously enhance knowledge of Java skills and seek improvements in application performance and development workflows
Write secure code, apply authentication and authorization, following best practices for performance, accessibility and security
Write unit tests (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and follow secure coding practices to maintain quality and security standards
This is a hybrid role in either Columbus, OH or Tampa, FL and will require 3 days per week in the office.
