Job Description:

You will serve as a Paralegal Specialist in the Staff Advocate Judge Office of NVRECRUITNGCMD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Appling laws, rules and regulations involving litigation or litigation support, or administrative law to provide research or paralegal support; 2) Utilizing various laws, principles, concepts, and methods of legal research, to include automated legal research systems and legal reference sources to perform complex level research; 3) Performing legal research into legislative history, precedents, decisions, and opinions that may be applicable to identifying and locating relevant facts and preparing analyses of finding; and 4) Appling rules and regulations related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act. You will conduct or assist with legal investigations.
You will draft policy documents and directives.
You will review investigative reports, ensuring that all reasonably available evidence has been gathered,
You will draft orders and other legal documents to effectuate disciplinary, administrative, or other corrective action.
You will communicate with courts, prosecution offices, and law enforcement agencies to request and obtain information regarding the status of prosecutions and cases
You will maintain and manage a consolidated case tracker or case tracking system
You will identify recurring or persistent vulnerabilities in protection of PII and sensitive personal information; recommend and implement solutions and relevant training.
You will review case files, identify misconduct, and draft appropriate charges and supporting nonjudicial punishment or administrative separation documents.
