Job Description:
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIV, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing contract oversight, analyzing contract data for acquisitions and contract management in the procurement of materials or services. You will provide analytical and administrative services related to acquisition and contract management.
You will execute tasks will arise from stakeholder requirements and inputs, the use of material and/or services necessary to support the mission, and the provision for a variety of department support functions within the division and department
You will assist both the Contracting Officer and the technical codes in planning, soliciting, administering and exercising financial, programmatic and technical oversight on contracts, task orders and other procurements.
You will participate in pre-award activities to help customers define their contractual requirements and formulate the necessary procurement documents.
You will carry out fiduciary oversight functions on awarded procurements and track funding to ensure their proper application to contractual tasking.
You will review and approve invoices; as well as, monitor financial expenditures on procurements and recommend solutions for larger problems.
