Job Description:
You will serve as a DIRECTOR, FLEET PLANS AND POLICY in the FLEET POLICY DIVISION of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of Department of Defense, Naval Service and Combatant Commander Strategies, Policies, and Directives. Experience directing a team in the management of Navy International Engagement programs. Experience directly formulating and communicating Navy strategic guidance and policy. Experience leading and guiding Navy operational planning. Experience guiding and providing oversight to operational assessments. You will serve as the principal advisor for all Strategy, Policy, Plans and International Engagement matters to the Director, Maritime Operations.
You will ensure plans, policies and doctrine are properly responsive to higher authority strategies, guidance and directives.
You will provide oversight and guidance to Navy International programs as directed.
You will oversee the Navy Cooperative Deployment Program to include the development of international agreements.
You will plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates; set performance standards; set and adjust priorities.
You will ensure readiness reporting and assessments are completed as required.
You will direct and coordinate the efforts of the Fleet Strategy, Policy, Plans and International Engagement Division in all matters that provide for the management, technical, and administrative support to the Director, Maritime Operations.
