This vacancy is for a GS-0802-9-10-11, Naval Architect Technician located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Naval Architecture, Engineering Services Division, Baltimore, MD.
To qualify at the GS-0802-9 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-8 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Experience developing Simplified Acquisition Procurement process packages for systems and equipment. Develops Independent Government Estimates, and Procurement Requests. Specialized experience must include the following: Experience developing or modifying drawings using CAD software in either 2 or 3 dimensions and completing ship checks to verify system condition and configuration, and correct drawings based on visit results. Experience executing projects in a matrix organization that includes the three Yard Engineering Branches, the Yard Industrial Department, and the Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) Engineering Services Division (ESD), SFLC Product Lines, and occasionally Headquarters Offices. Experience developing Simplified Acquisition Procurement process packages for systems and equipment.
