To qualify for a Nurse (ADMIN), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the GS-12 level, specialized experience must be at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Nursing proficiency in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of deploying personnel requirements. Making determinations for accurate medical referral of individuals to medical specialty services in order to meet deployment/travel requirements. Using nursing concepts and principles IAW Standards of Nursing Practice, as well as extended experience with case management practices and procedures to analyze the full scope of problems associated with providing appropriate, cost effective care to military and civilian employees. Providing professional nursing advice directly related to travel medicine and infectious diseases, health information for international travel.
Applies professional knowledge of nursing and extended specialized experience in assessing and evaluating a wide variety of people's medical health and conditions in order to ensure that medical requirements.
Serves as the Case Manager for DCMA deployment health and travel medicine, and is DCMA's primary authority on all DoD AOR and country specific medical requirements for the different OCONUS locations.
Maintains database and utilizes standards, previously identified, to ensure EE, CEW and CRF personnel are kept medically qualified to deploy at all times
Serves as a team project leader or team member responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting deployment health and travel medicine program reviews throughout DCMA.
Provides technical expertise and consultation to the DCMA in the development, interpretation and application of national and international travel/deployment health standards.
