Job Description:

You will serve as an ENGINEER within one of the organizations of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, CRANE DIVISION. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09 through GS-11) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer analyzing or assessing electronic warfare (EW) system requirements to support the design or development efforts of test and evaluation of systems, structures, equipment or processes for operational readiness. You will perform engineering tasks requiring the application of standard engineering practices and techniques, as well as the ability to adapt and modify standard procedures and equipment.
You will conduct engineering studies, analyses, and calculations to support the design, development, and evaluation of systems, structures, equipment, or processes.
You will review and interpret technical data, codes, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
You will apply statistical analysis techniques to interpret data, draw conclusions, and provide technical support and consultation to other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders.
You will apply engineering principles to solve technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
You will track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions.
You will identify potential problems and recommends solutions to improve performance.
