In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer verifying and validating requirements, definition, and review/approval of hardware, architectures, and procedures used during hardware design and testing for weapons instrumentation programs. You will provide design engineering and associated program management during the research, design, development, test, evaluation, production, support, sustainment and modernization of the range support and onboard data capture for ship program.
You will be responsible for verify and validating requirements, definition, and review/approval of hardware, architectures, and procedures used during hardware design and testing.
You will support software simulation interface tests during system evaluation at contractor sites, government laboratories, Naval facilities, and submarines.
You will review and analyze the requirements for coordinated interfaces, coordinated dimensions, control and display capabilities for the project to ensure design margin.
You will review and analyze the technical adequacy with respect to function, safety, coordination, predictability, interchangeability, and Reliability and Maintainability (R and M).
You will evaluate the contractor hardware and software development processes, product test results, subsystem trends, and DCMA audit results for process trends, as well as contractor trend analysis to identify and implement process improvements.
You will technically lead and review the contractor in the development and engineering support of future US/UK Fight Instrumentation program effort and subsystem upgrades to the submarine, missile, Sensing Systems and range support equipment.
You will conduct hardware design through management of an extensive design review and configuration management programs, which require that the incumbent continuously review engineering changes requested/ recommended by the contractor.
You will participate and lead Root Cause Analysis for failures in deployed systems, new development projects and sustainment systems where the cause and effect of all system failures are identified, adequately reviewed, analyzed, and investigated.
You will analyze design artifacts, problem reports, process metrics, and qualification results for trends, which indicate design, R and M or QA problems.
