Job Description:
You will serve as a CIVIL ENGINEER in the FLEET CIVIL ENGINEER/FACILITIES ENGINEERING CELL of COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. GS-14: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Engineer overseeing engineering projects and programs by developing plans (e.g. coordinating technical program schedules, establishing technical or administrative policies, funding programs, or other resources) and providing technical guidance to support engineering solutions and program operations throughout the Pacific theater. You will serve in a strategic leadership capacity in coordination with Operational Forces and other Service component Engineers and other Echelon II/III commands in the Pacific Theatre.
You will analyze and formulate distinct plans into coherent Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) engineering support to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), staff planning related to theatre engagement.
You will support ongoing and contingency operations throughout the Pacific theatre, including PACFLT, Naval Facilities (NAVFAC), USINDOPACOM and other Combatant Commander (COCOM) , or other Department of Navy or Department of Defense entities.
You will develop engineering solutions and coordinate options/plans for the work to be accomplished by other military, civilian and contract planners, adjusting priorities and preparing schedules.
You will produce operational plans and implement guidance resulting in production of Operational Orders, Warning Orders, Deployment Orders Fragmentary other and other directives to ensure proper deployment.
You will provide technical expertise and input to support operational planning teams and/or senior Navy leaders as it pertains to Navy engineering organizations.
You will be the primary engineer liaison to PACOM for the integration, coordination, tracking and assignment of tasks for PACFLT engineer assets in support of Pacific Theatre operations.
